Winston Duke is a London based artist, animator and photographer who graduated from London College of Communication, University of the Arts, London where he specialized in Digital Media Design.
He is best known for his animation project Lifelongfiction and his photography series After Dark which have been describe as ‘otherworldly’, and in particular his use of black and white, which has become a staple throughout his work. As his animation roots lie in 3D and 2D motion design. Lifelongfiction was a result of a yearning to relearning the fundamentals and create an artistic identity through traditional animation. His work challenges themes such as space, time and deep sea creatures. He uses these ideas as reference points to build upon his current projects.
After Dark came about after several years of doing travel street photography, and it was through his introduction to the wonders of 35 mm film and film development, that he was able to land on a style that spoke most to his artistic vision.
Since graduating he has maintained a fruitful career path through Motion Design and has had the pleasure of working on some of the world’s most culturally significant brands. His personal work has also lead him complete works with the likes of Nike & Giphy.
